So Gloria and Kinsye and I had a weekend getaway in the Texas Hill Country. Here are some shots of the Bed and Breakfast where we stayed--Rose Hill in Stonewall right outside Fredericksberg. (www.rose-hill.com) The place is amazing!!! A couple built this plantation-style main house and six cottages by hand, practically, and run an incredible place! The food was great, but avoid the "dancing" quail!!! We stayed in a cottage like the one in the second picture. Super-cute!!! It was an ideal location to watch a cold front roll through, like we did Saturday afternoon.
Oh, and they also have a llama on the premises. As in the case of any llama sightings, I felt it was my "duty" to inform the B&B owner of John's own experience of the Great Llama Attack of 2005. She countered with her own account of llama attacks and her knowledge of "bezerk male llama syndrome". Apparently you can Google it, she told us. Moral of the story: never turn your back on a llama!
