Okay, so my last post was supposed to be "two posts in one" but it really wasn't. Not even one and a half. I'm going to put in a picture just to make this interesting. .
(This is one of Tex's baby photos, just so you know. Do you like the Clear Brook-colored jersey?)
I wanted to update the "What are you reading?" section. By the way, I really am interested to know what everyone else is reading. . .
By the way, we have not yet left for Ireland, just to clear that all up.
Enough side notes. . . I finished reading "Dogs of Babel" and it was weird but interesting. About grief. Then I read some Jonathan Kellerman/Ken Follett novels that were interesting and certainly passed some time. Speaking of passing time. . I checked out our local library in the first time since moving here three plus years ago. Duh!! It was nice and I checked out a Jodi Picoult novel (Vanishing Acts)--all I know is that it will have a weird ending, two James Joyce books to be more Ireland-savvy (no, NOT Ulysses--I'm just not ready for that yet), and another non-fiction that I can't remember the title to right now. So I'm halfway through the Picoult and can hardly put it down! She really has some family issues!!! But it's always interesting.
I just started another Stormie Omartian book: The Prayer that Changes Everything: The Hidden Power of Praising God. I read her Power of a Praying Woman in a Bible study and it was really good. So far, this one is just as promising. I really like her approach and that she's not afraid to admit that she has a past.
Of course, I have a few speciality books in the works as well, but nothing too interesting. ;-)
So what are YOU reading???
