So here are our boys chilling out. They are seriously good buddies, that's for sure!I snapped this pic right before leaving to pick John up from the airport. He arrived safely back from Ireland and is back at work. Yesterday he took the day off and we played hookey. We went down to Galveston to the Moody Gardens Aquarium Pyramid (I had never been) and then went to Benno's on the Seawall for lunch (excellent!) and walked for a while. It was a gorgeous and windy day! Very pleasant! And how nice that we were not at work! But that's about all. I read another interesting book: The Dogs of Babel. I was pretty hooked into this one as well. Basically, there is a linguistics professor who's wife dies, and he wants to know if it is suicide or accidental. The only witness was their dog, a Rhodesian ridgeback names Lorelei. So he tries to teach her (the dog) to communicate either verbally, with flashcards, a keyboard, etc. It's a sad book about this man's grief, but it's interesting. Well, that's enough rambling for now. . .
