Movies and a little more

So this is the season of some of the great movies of the year, and I'm sure everyone is going to take in at least one during the holidays (if only to distance yourself from leftovers!!!). Great movies like "Rocky Balboa." We're not getting it here for some time, so I hope someone sees it and gives us a report. I knew it was a winner when I cried (cried?) through the movie trailer we saw before we left the States. I mean, Stallone is 60--60!!!--and he's making this movie. That takes some guts.

John and I watched "Deja Vu" with Denzel Washington last weekend, and it was grand. It is set in post-Katrina New Orleans and that just made it feel really close to home. I got choked up.
(If you're not noticing a pattern here, I get choked up by most movies these days. And just about everything else) I don't think Deja Vu is still out in the States, but if it is, it is certainly worth watching.

We never got to see the James Bond movie and haven't talked to anyone who has, so we have no clue. One interesting tidbit is that while most movies arrive here a few weeks late, James Bond got her BEFORE debuting back home. And THE QUEEN herself attended the premiere. That's like our president showing up at "Armageddon" (yes, another movie that makes me SOB--and way before the touching Bruce Willis-Liv Tyler scene). The Brits really seem to take their Bond seriously.

So I was watching the Baby Channel today and saw a program advertising belly-castings for pregnant women. http://www.everlastingcastings.co.uk/home.html I cannot make this stuff up, and part of me thinks this would be pretty cool! You can see more "decorating" ideas in the Gallery. Wild!!

But that's about all here. I still have not taken a nap today (which I need, desperately!!), nor have I picked up the dry cleaning. But I did sort my recycling into the waste bin (yay! we have trash!!) and do three loads of laundry. This I consider an accomplishment!

We have a dinner party thing in the city centre tonight, so keep your fingers crossed that we will find a parking solution that does not involve walking long distances. (I have to wear heels)

I really just wanted to share the cast stuff. That's all!
