Best darn baby book ever

So, like many first-time mom's-to-be, I have read a whole slew of baby books. Some have been great and informative, other simply hilarious, some completely derranged. However, I think I have discovered the best common-sense, "what the heck do I do when they send me home with a baby" book yet.
It's called "Be Prepared: A Practical Handbook for New Dads." I got this one simply by chance as I had purchased a "lot" of pregnancy/baby books on EBay to get The Girlfriend's Guide to Pregnancy and the second Jenny McCarthy book Baby Laughs. (If you are preggers and have not read Belly Laughs, don't wait another second--get it because you will roll around with laughter and then some.) Since the EBay lot of like 7 books was cheaper than buying the two I wanted individually, I got the whole shebang, including this one.
"Be Prepared" has its own website with downloads, sample pages, etc. www.beprepared.net Now this book sets itself up to be a man-only guide, but I'll tell you that I certainly have enjoyed it than a lot of the sentimental, touchy-feely stuff. But what do I know? I've registered for a camo diaper bag, so you might take my advice with a grain of salt.
In addition to the utterly hilarious sections (Circuit Training Your Baby, instructions on how to create a diaper out of a dish towel, a sock, and duct tape (McGuyver, anyone?), and "skill builders" for different age levels (you just have to check out some of these baby party tricks)) there is some pretty good advice that keeps things simple and with a good, non-degrading sense of humor.
I would totally recommend this book wholeheartedly because it's a quick read, it might be something your husband willingly reads (like the Jenny McCarthy book, but John explained later that it was because she was a Playboy model or something), and there's a useful section about BABIES AND BEARS just in case you take your tot camping in Alaska. Basically, this book is a hoot and I'm thrilled that I stumbled upon it.
My plan is to generate reviews on all the baby books I've read, but I have to finish reading a lot of them. My current project is the Girlfriend's Guide and while many of my favorite Girlfriends have recommended and love this book. . . I'll wait to give my final judgement until I've finished it. Not that anyone cares about my personal reviews of a smattering of the millions of baby prep and are books out there, but at least it makes my brain work.
So check out the Be Prepared website because it is hilarious. This book has given me some good laughs today!!!

This book looks hilarious. I went to the website and laughed at all of the pictures. I think this will be one of the books that I get for Greg.

I am so excited about baby! I know your pregnancy will go smoothly so you may just get a surprise on birth day! I had been thinking it might be fun to not know.

I know this is completely selfish, but I don't want you to be due in June. I like saying that we are a week apart! Weird, I know, but true.

Miss you!
