Let it. . .SNOW?

So today we woke up to yet another morning of ice covering the car. This happened a lot in November but recently the temps have been pretty mild. A pot of water solved that pretty quickly. It was 2 degrees Celsius at the top of our hill when we drove John to work, and there was at least one report of an accident because of "The Black Ice". Man, they sure can make that sound ominous--like it's reaching out to strangle you and pull you into it's underground lair. . .
Anyway. . . since it was a cold morning and I only have housework to do until a 3PM appointment with a midwife we are looking to hire I decided to get a few more minutes of sleepytime.
Of course, you know that turned into two full hours, but who's counting!
So I got up, made my tea and fired up the computer to check e-mail (thanks, Anna, it's good to hear from you!!!), blogs, the Chronicle, etc., when what to my wondering ears did appear, but a strange tapping sound on the back glass.
It was feckin' snowing! Obviously, I do not have specific "snow-capturing" gear on the camera, so that is my hand trying to protect the lens from more mistreatment. So the pictures are no good but you get the point. It's still too warm for snow to stick--somewhere in the 30s Fahrenheit I think--but it's been snowing for a good 25 minutes now.
Looks like it may have stopped now, but at least I caught it in the act for a few moments.
I can count the number of times I've seen snow actually falling, how about you?
* In the 1980s when I was seven or eight or maybe a little older
* Two Christmases ago
* Today
* Hmm. . maybe on the trip to the Grand Canyon a few years ago with Kat but I think the snow had already fallen so maybe that doesn't count. . .
At least we have missed the majority of the European Wind Storms (gasp) so I'll take the snow and cold temps. . . they tell me is snowed on Paddy's Day last March so who knows what turns the weather will take as we lurch toward spring. . .
Stay warm and cozy!
