So a year ago today the movers came and packed up our house; we dropped our dogs off with friends; we packed our bags to the brim; and we left our home. Granted, we didn't fly out until tomorrow (a year ago) but who knows if the munchkin will give me time to blog and reminisce tomorrow???
It is so surreal that we moved to Ireland for 2-3 years and then moved back after six months. I'm glad with how everything turned out in the end, but really strange.
So today looking back I feel like it was not just a year ago, but a lifetime ago and a universe away.
I'm going to try not to do too much of this, but it is just crazy to think back to what we were doing a year ago.
I was deciding I hated Irish weather. I always knew Ireland was green but never anticipated the amount of precipitation it took to maintain said lushness. k
I was really not liking living in a hotel.
I was jet-lagged and maybe a little morning sick. Certainly home-sick.
And all I wanted to eat was McDonald's because that felt like home.
Funny how things changed in the short time we were there. Even more interesting how things changed once we had the kiddo.
Well, that's all I have time for today.
If you are interested in seeing more of the DH's hunting trip to New Mexico, check out my Shutterfly. There are pics of the elk he shot (after he shot it), so fair warning.

Gosh that elk looks huge.
What a difference a year makes, I guess for you it worked out well and you did get a little taste of Ireland!!
I would enjoy a year in another country except then I would miss out on the grandkids even more.
I could handle Ireland because I grew up near Seattle. WE had lots of rain and misty days
