My DH and I both anticipated a funny episode of Z spitting out the cereal and getting generally pissed off until put on the boob for the real stuff.
Not so. . .
Here's the little man making sure every last morsel makes it into his mouth.
Who knew my little guy would like the rice cereal so much?? He also liked chewing on just the spoon, so last night's performance doesn't really tell us that much.It was a lot of fun. My DH was really proud of his boy for being such a good eater. Coming from "eating" parents like us, it's not that big of a surprise.
As for an update on my personal stuff. . . I went in for a check-up with my midwife and learned that SHE NEEDS HER COFFEE in the morning OR ELSE. Actually, she rubbed off on her receptionist/assistant who called the office where I was to have my ultrasound and LET THEM HAVE IT for not scheduling me earlier. So I have an appointment at a different place on Tuesday. Will know more then.
Here's something random. . . today I met up with my former midwife from Ireland and her partner, Brendan, at a Starbucks near Downtown where I met their new little son, Matthew. What a fantastic joy to get to see them. (Yeah, they normally live in Cork but just adopted a little Texan--small world!!!) It was so fun to catch up and spend some time with their family. Congratulations!!

Wow, Z looks like such a big boy eating with a spoon.
I am glad to hear that you are getting in to see someone a little sooner. You're in my thoughts and prayers!
He's a smart kid - never say no to new food. Hope the motto sticks - I know I became a picky eater but I've come back around. Great photo of him too - he's dangerously photogenic.
dear sabrina. He's soooooo cute!! Such a good looking boy.
