They are this puffed rice cereal that melts in your mouth that Gerber makes for babies who are learning to feed themselves. Technically, your kid is supposed to be crawling before they eat this stuff and Zane isn't, but Puffs have been a lifesaver for about a month. They keep the peace while we are eating (Zane wants to eat what we are eating and we can trick the toothless wonder into some Puffs to make him happy). They make me feel less guilty about not being as consistent with "solid" foods as I might be. Zane eats the heck outta these things, and they are helping his manual dexterity so there's nothing wrong with them.
And they are really, really tasty. ("One for Zane; one for Mommy") Oh, and Blanco likes to clean up any Puffs that land outside the baby's mouth. Easy peasy clean-up!
So Puffs have been great. . . a little too great.
Yes, that is my child awash in a sea of Peach flavored Puffs. I think he's getting pretty good at feeding himself, don't you think? I spent the rest of the evening picking them off of him, out of his clothes, etc.
The moral of this story. . .never leave your child unsupervised with a canister of anything!
Check out my Shutterfly site for the whole documentation. One picture just doesn't do this justice!
