Picture, perfect.

One thing that occupies some of my time and even more of my brain activity is photography.
That sounds a whole lot more "professional" or "artsy" than it really is. I'm just one of those moms for whom the term "prosumer" was coined. I like to think I'm doing something creative and artistic; in reality, I'm just taking (hopefully) better than average snapshots.
Sometimes the whole photography thing gets me down in the dumps. I go though periods of taking really not good pictures. Usually this coincides with time when I really want to be taking really, really good pictures. Like around Z's first birthday when I could barely get the lens cap off.
Then there are times when I am happy with pictures, like yesterday. We got a break from the Dolly-rain and Z and I went to the park. We've been about eleventy zillion times in the last couple of weeks, so I sort of knew what I was looking for.
Here are some of my favorites:

Then there's the pic I'm using in my header. (I had a pic my friend and fellow prosumer (she's more pro; I'm more 'sumer) Aimee took at Z's b-day up a few days ago if you saw that one). Don't know what it is about black and white but it really captures how motherhood feels these days. These pictures just completely tug at my heart strings and make me want to freeze time. . .
I keep thinking the whole "photography" thing is weird. . . it seems that every stinkin' blogger mama around has some fancy-schmancy camera and takes amazing pictures-or worse--they are taking fantastic pics with some $9.99 disposable point-and-shoot.
Ah. . .there's more I want to say about this but it's not coming out right and my "me" time is about to expire.
Check out my Shutterfly if you want to see yesterday's mother load of pics.

I love the shot on the pebbles/gravel. Great work on all of them!

And I am definitely not a pro by any means!
