Some friends around the corner loaned me their 12-day-old son last weekend so I could practice a little portrait work. He was an absolute trooper and such a good sport about being turned and posed and flashed.
The little guy is adorable so he was gorgeous in every shot--my own inexperience and general bumbleness caused most pictures to need some work in Photoshop. And remember that I am afraid of Photoshop?
Well, let's just call it a crash course right now.
Here's my current fave shot (that's not pimping my friends' kid on my blog--I need to ask them if they mind if I put up a final shot or two).

PS--I had to make it B & W. Not sure if I did okay. Comments?

GREAT PICTURE!!!
I love it in BW. Did you play around with the type of BW you used? And why did you think you had to make it BW???? I'm sure it would have been nice in color.
You did a perfect job. It's beautiful!!
It is beautiful!!! I love to see the wedding rings that came from love and the feet that grew from that too. What miracles.

Aimee: I shot it in color but wanted it in B & W after the fact. It was fine in color--just didn't know converting it was so "complicated"!
Gin: Thanks so much!
Cindy: Howdy, chica! Thanks so much for the comment! I think the same thing about this pic!
It's really cute. If you ever need practice subjects, I have 4 of them. :p
