Well, John made it to Shanghai with no problems. He settled in nicely his first week. I spent last week running myself ragged between yoga and kickboxing and lunches to stay too busy to think about it!
The hardest part of the transition was getting used to him being 13 hours in the future. Took a little while to figure out what day he was living in, but now I think we have that under control. We can e-mail in the morning and evening here, so that's quite a blessing.
Shanghai sounds like a blast! A shopper's paradise! Easy to maneuver and really nice people.
I can't wait to get over there!
Here on the home front, nothing exciting. Taking care of the lawn and house sure isn't fun, but at least it keeps me busy. And then there are the dogs for constant entertainment. . . they are super-neurotic now that they are the "men of the house". I just about jump out of my skin every time Tex starts with the death growl at 3AM because a plant rustled the wrong way outside. . . They miss their "dad", too.
Well, I'm off to teach yoga again this morning.
I've been checking the English daily paper in Shanghai www.shanghaidaily.com to try to keep up. Sometimes it takes an age to load, but many of the stories are very interesting!
Ciao!
