So here are some pictures John took while in Gliwice, Poland--our new "hometown"--while he was there last month. At least we know where the McDonald's is located!!!The picture below is one view of the town square or "rynek". There are a lot of little open-air type restaurants in the middle. Across the way, the store with a yellow sign is a large Academy/REI-type of store. Or maybe it's a bike shop. Right now I just can't remember!

This is a picture of a street. I was really excited when I saw this picture because I could read the yellow sign behind the pole. "Kantor wymiamy" is a money exchange and I had just learned that before I saw John's pictures. As you can probably tell, it was a rainy day there. The temperature (remember this was in August) was highs in the 60s and lows in the 40s at night. I'm sure we are going to have some serious shock when we experience our first real winter!!!

So here are some pictures as promised. A quaint, little European town that looks like the next one, cobblestone streets and all that jazz.
Hopefully we will have our housing situation all sorted out by the end of the week. There are a lot of cute places out there!!!
