“Meme”
On my favorite blog, MamaDrama, the world’s funniest blogger had an entry about a “meme”. From context, a meme is one of those sets of questions you get in those “Getting to know your friends” e-mails and they would be called “me-me”s because they are all about ME!ME!
Well, I actually looked them up and they are all highfalutin’ and fancy. Apparently a meme “refers to a unit of cultural information transferable from one mind to another.” Whoah. That’s heavy. So a meme is a unit of information like a gene is a unit of other stuff. This is deeper than I thought. Of course, that information came from Wikipedia, which school reputable school districts like CCISD would never consider allowing their students to use. (Waaay too convenient when you can log on to the library stuff when you have to remember pass codes and logins and all that fun stuff).
But I digress. . .so this is the meme that Jenny on MamaDrama put out there for people to work with. Would love to hear your responses and comments.
Things you don't know about me:
1.My blood type is A Positive
2.I love reading Christian romance novels
3. I absolutely hate doing the dishes and most other house-cleaning activities.
4. I LOVE not working (not like that would be difficult to guess) but I really do miss teaching in the good old days with Diana and Isabel and Stiggs
5. I am terrified of heights. Two-storey houses kind of freak me out a little. (This is scary because we now live in one.)
Things I want to do before I die:
1. Be less selfish
2. DO something meaningful. (Create, organize, start, contribute—something!)
3. Have a fantastic, fun, loving, well-communicating, big family. (not that big, but I’m an only child so big is more than 3 people!)
4. Become a better listener
5. The sky is the limit here. . I may have to think about number 5 for a long time, but it includes running at least one more marathon!
Things I can't do:
1. Drive a car with manual transmission.
2. Watch animals being mistreated.
3. Sit through an entire Discovery Wings program
4. Eat leftover chicken. Bleh.
5. Be patient when it comes to computers
Things I can do: 1. Knit, although I have not yet learned how to do a cable pattern but I WILL for baby. Really.
2. Recite almost all if not all of the lyrics to the song Ice Ice Baby, including singing the musical interludes.
3. Type pretty fast and with relative accuracy
4. Bake a pie from scratch. The secret is ice cubes in the water for the homemade crust. Yum!!!5. Drive on the right and the left side of the road.
Things that attracted me to my husband:
1. He has great teeth. No, really, he does. You’ll notice it when you meet him.
2. He loves to talk. About the important stuff. And the not so important stuff.
3. He’s a man’s man. (This is also problematic at times)
4. He makes me be a better person.
5. In addition to being extremely HOTT, he has the cutest little hiney! (I met him when we were both wearing cycling shorts—not a lot of room for imagination there! You notice these things!)
Things that I say most often:
1. I'm SOOOOO tired.
2..I miss. . . . (you, Mexican food, Sonic foot-long hotdogs, chips that do NOT have prawn-flavored seasoning, the dishwasher, warm weather, etc.)
3.But I don’t want to go to the gym. (In a really whiney voice. Sometimes I even make fists and stamp one foot.)
4. (on the phone to whatever service provider/doctor/etc,) Hi, my husband and I have just moved here to Ireland from the United States and we need to know how to. . .
5. No worries/Thanks a million/That’s grand (all of my new “Irish” phrases)
Movies I love: (movies I can watch over and over again, especially when knitting. This list changes constantly.)
1. The Italian Job
2. Ocean’s 11
3. Breakfast Club/Sixteen Candles (tie)
4. The Usual Suspects
5. Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil
So, there you go. That's probably enough bloggng for me today.

Wow, I really did learn a lot about you! I completely agree with your movies - except maybe "Midnight". I've only seen it once and can't really remember if I want to see it again!
Miss You Lots!
