Oh my gosh, you killed Kenny!

So here is John last night after we took a walk. He's wearing one of the Arctic-expedition parkas we bought while in China in anticipation of a move to Poland. Not that it was that cold last night--we just decided to break them in. As you can see, there's a whole lot to these jackets. They are very wam--you can just wear them over your normal clothes with no hat, scarf, or gloves and be perfectly warm. The sad thing is that I know they would barely keep us warm if we actually did end up in Poland.
Whew! We dodged a bullet!
But imagine how embarassing it was when we got back to our door and ran into our neighbor (dressed in a sharp little leather jacket) who chatted and invited us over for a little party they're having on St. Stephen's (day after Christmas). We felt pretty silly in our huge coats on a warmish evening. But we still got invited. Guess we get a pass since we are weird, eccentric Yanks in everyone's minds here.
So today is the Friday before Christmas and things are really starting to shut down here. The grocery store is open tomorrow and then that's it until. . .???
Everyone is doing their last-minute shopping.
John's boss indicated that they would have an abbreviated day today, so I'm anticipating him home pretty soon. Then we'll head over to the gym and that will be nice. I'm guessing it will be rather empty there.
So that's about it over here. Just waiting for the weekend to begin!
I hope everyone is wrapping up all they need to wrap and enjoying time with family and friends.
Merry Christmas!!!
