Puppy Love

Okay, so I arrived safely and on-time in Houston Tuesday evening. I wasn't even all that tired--good flight schedule (thanks to DH for that one!)
The only problem I have with flying or travel in general is that I swell up ever time. I have done this for as long as I remember. I know most people have some reaction to traveling. . .I start to resemble the Michelin Man. And being pregnant has really accentuated the swelling. YUCK! It's going away but I just feel. . .puffy!
So I have been reunited with my boys. . .on the way over to Kat's, I was getting really nervous that they would not remember me or they would just have come to like Kat better than me, or they would have changed a whole lot. Nope. They were excited to see me---lots of kisses and jumping and petting. My boys have turned into men, I'm proud to say, thanks to Puppy Boot Camp at Kat's. Tex has lost his babyface looks and is now more handsome as ever. Blanco. . .well, he's even more face-lickin', body-check-jumpin', shifty-eye-movin' as ever. The two of them have grown even closer and are true buddies--the stuff that movies like Milo and Otis are made of.
Houston is great. The big difference I've noticed is that the light is so different here from Ireland. I'm guessing it has a lot to do with the pollution. It's just all so. . .big.
I made it through my first super-store without passing out, so that was good. I went with my dad to the Alvin, TX Super-Wal-Mart at like, 7AM yesterday. If you are familiar with this part of Texas (I'm in Santa Fe, by the way), then you will understand why that is just kind of amusing. If not, there's no real way to explain it!
I'm enjoying seeing my parents and my in-laws and friends. I'm completely exhausted, but that's okay, too.

I have four dogs here (mine + my parent's two (well, one of those used to me mine,too)) all requesting attention, so I need to acquiesce or the ruckus will crescendo to fullblown chaos.
