So I have a little catching up to do on my adventures while back in Texas. First things first: here's a pic from my meeting with the Mamas. Stephanie posted a picture on MamaDrama, but here's my version. No, I did not get to see ANY of Mindy's tattoos, but I would have insisted had I known. Some have asked what it was like to meet some of the Mamas. Kind of exhausting! These ladies have some incredible energy and chemistry to blow off the roof. Yes, Jenny is as absolutely hilarious in person as on the blog. And she's tall. And way too thin to have been allowed in the Future MILF weight-loss club. (Is that still going on?) Stephanie is so the super-cutest expert on Ireland I've ever met. She's a total riot! Mindy seems reserved but in the "you don't know I have 8 tattoos" kind of way. I enjoyed talking with these mamas SO much!!
Now that I am -ahem- moving back to the Houston area, I hope to see them again sometime. But seeing as I'll be local now and not all that interesting, who knows!!!
The other cool thing was the baby shower my friend Shauna threw for me. Shauna totally rocks--she has the most awesome, fun personality and she cracks me up! My mom and my friend Cindy took pics and I realized one thing: whenever I'm about to say how cute something is or how much I like it, my face screws up into this "I look like I'm about to puke or cry" look.
Seriously.
Take a look on my Shutterfly site if you want the whole run-down on the pics.
In this picture (one that my DH said I should delete and not show anyone because it looks like I don't like this hat, but I DO!) I am holding up the baby hat that my friend Stiggs knit for me. This was no easy knitting task, and I LOVE the hat and appreciate all of the work!!!
I really need to work on my facial expressions.
But, hey, I was nervous. I've never paid much attention to what people are supposed to do at baby showers, so I was a little lost. Oh well, it was fantastic and I think everyone had a great time!
So now I am working on getting things wrapped up here so we can move home. We are getting more and more used to the idea and pointing out more of the advantages of being back home (besides Don Picos).
I've technically been writing this post for several hours (stopped when DH came home, made dinner and ate, chatted, etc. in between) so I am now ready to finish it all up!
More to come. . .

I tend to agree with your DH on this, you don't look all that happy about the hat. So that you friend doesn't feel slighted, I've ever so subtly photshopped the image for you.
Take a look
WT: the picture is MUCH better now! Love it!
willowtreesy boy. You make me laugh. Sabrina, you look SOOOO much more beautiful now.
Oh and by the way. I just saw the mamas picture. Hey, if there's ever an opening, you can beg them to let you become a mama drama mama!
Love the hat. Too cool you met the Mamas. I wasn't sure if you already knew them or this was a new thing. Now I know.
Funny boy, that WT :).
