This came from Margaret, who is a devoted MamaDrama reader as well. . .Only took me about two weeks to get this done. . ...
-Each player starts with eight random facts/habits about themselves.
-People who are tagged need to write their own blog about their eight things and post these rules.
-At the end of your blog, you need to choose eight people to get tagged and list their names.
-Don't forget to leave them a comment telling them they're tagged, and to read your blog.
1. I am addicted to raspberry lemonade Crystal Light. I'm sure it has some synthetic things in it that are bad for the baby, but whatever. It's better than alcohol with fewer calories. Mix the stuff with a diet 7 up and I am golden,
2. I never make the bed. I used to when we were first married and I was trying to be Martha Stewart, who I am not in any way. An unmade bed used to be the epitome of messiness. Now it is not. I do, however, need clean sheets on the bed every 2-3 days or so. Otherwise they feel gungy.
3. Pregnancy has highlighted for me that I have some serious, unresolved body image issues. I can honestly tell you that the body I have now (40 lbs heavier than pre-preg) is what my mind used to see in the mirror when I was 40 lbs lighter. But this is way too serious and sad for a meme, so I'll just mention it so I am more "multidimensional" than the uber-perky nutjob I appear to be all the time.
4. I am a picky eater. I used to NEVER eat leftovers. I usually don't even like what I cook. But sometime in the last couple of weeks I have gotten over all of this. Exhaustion + laziness + necessity I guess.
5. I do not really miss teaching at all. I could blah blah you all about how much I love working with high-schoolers and teaching Spanish and ole, etc. and all that BS and I would mean it. but, seriously, I like this not working thing. I miss my friends from work: Barts, Isa, Stiggs, Janis, Tami, Rebecca. But I seriously do not miss teaching. I always had some good kids, but there were plenty of druts (thank you, Steve Kees, for that brilliant pedagogical nugget, but you're probably not techno-savvy enough to ever check this and get the shout-out). Anyway. . .
6. I am supposed to wear orthotic inserts in my shoes at all times. Between teaching and being on my feet, running/cycling, and some weird bone structure, my feet are completely toast. I had an enlarged nerve removed from my left foot in December, 2003. Nerves are supposed to be the size of a pencil lead--my inflamed nerve was the size of a man's thumb. I think that was cool. They didn't let me see or keep the nerve--had to be sent off for tests or whatever. Anyway. . . I'm not supposed to wear flip-flops or sandals because they do not give my feet enough support. But I do anyway. . .
7. I never used to nap until a few weeks ago. Now I try to nap daily.
8. My favorite color is green. Yeah, that's lame, but I'm trying to wrap this up and everything else I can think of is lengthy.
Okay, so I'm breaking the rules and not tagging anyone. Well, Stiggs, I tag you, but you have the private blog so we can't all see that. Maybe if you don't do back to teaching then you can un-privatize your blog and everyone can pop on over.
So I think it's time for my nap now. . .

do you have flat feet?
please read subtalar mba implant system ....
I have orthotics, and the doc would love to give my foot this surgery - but my insurance is fighting it.
you are young enough that it might make all the difference for the rest of your life
Pamela: No flat feet. Arches are fine. Just need the orthotics for support to help with pronation and my podiatrist's summer home. I'm confident my current problems are all pregnancy-related. All the extra weight on the feet--ouch!
pronation is the "term" for flat feet or disintigration of the arch.
My ortho calls it pronation.
it is genetic -- and painful
