. . . including our NEW SON!
Welcome
ZANE AUSTIN
aka
"KidZilla"
to the Blogosphere!!!
Zane arrived Thursday night, 28 June at 19:32 (7:32 PM) weighing in at a WHOPPING 9 lbs 12 oz. No one had any idea he would be that huge, including a very surprised midwife!!!
He's 21 1/2 inches long with dark hair and to-be-determined eye color. He's already showing a proclivity toward Country and Western classics (especially Johnny Cash).
We are so thankful to God for blessing us with a healthy, alert, gorgeous son and a smooth, easy birth.
I am feeling great and can't wait to post about my experience at the birthing centre. My midwife, Bernadette, and her birthing assistant, Tami, deserve medals of honor for helping me through everything. They are some amazing ladies who have followed their true calling. I could not have had this baby without them! I had the natural birth I wanted and feel absolutely fantastic!
Of course, my DH was SPECTACULAR during the labor and birth and is a GOLD STAR DADDY! He's already an expert at dressing and changing and soothing his little son. I could not be a luckier mommy and wife!!!
Pictures and more stories to come shortly. As you know, blogging time changes when there's a new member on the team!!!

YEAH YEAH YEAH!!!! Congratulations!
Welcome to the world, Zane!!!
I'm so happy for you - he was one big baby! I'm glad to hear that you are healthy, he is healthy and everyone is happy!!!
Yippeee!!! Well done Mom (and DH)!!
Are you kidding me!? You were surprised that Zane was that big. I had to go out and buy a bigger monitor so that I could view that last picture of you!! I'm surprised he came in under 10lbs and 2ft.
That's it, you're well and truly un-corked now.
oh..... my grandma heart is overwhelmed with joy for you.
He was a big FLOSS !!!!
Congratulations! I had one that was 9 lb. 5 oz., but yours really takes the cake! Glad to hear you got to have the kind of delivery you wanted -- wish I'd been as well informed when I had my first! I had all mine sans drugs, but in the hospital, hooked up to IVs and with doctors who almost didn't make it in time twice. So to go through a birth the way you want is truly an accomplishment.
The fact that you're blogging two days after giving birth is a good sign. ;-)
Dear sabrina. Congratulations to you and DH on your new little Texan :o) ! Was wondering if anything was happening. That's so great, I'm glad everything went a-ok. Can't wait to see piccies. Hahaha to willowtree's comment.
Congratulations!! Such a big boy - can't imagine giving birth to one that big (mine was only 7lb 11oz)! Enjoy - and make sure you get some rest.
Congratulations on your safe arrival.
I'm glad the birth went according to plan especially as Zane turned out to be a whopper.
Looking forward to seeing the pictures.
CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!
I am so happy for you. I am glad you had the birth you were wishing for. Big hug to you and baby. WOW. 9lbs 12 oz. AMAZING!
CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! I'm so happy for you and your wonderful family! Enjoy this happy time!
Wow! A BIG WAHOO to Zane and his proud parents!
WOW!!! He really is one big baby. Congrats! I am so happy for you.
I was so surprised to hear that he was still born before mine. I was sure that since I was being induced I'd go first. Hmmm - maybe he is a little competitor and really wanted out! This bodes well for his career as an athlete!
Can't wait to meet him.
Hi Sabrina---congratulations from Zac and Rachel Mooney. WOW thats a big baby and---natural birth---I salute you. Seriously! He is an absolute cutie pie and Zac says that he loves the initials :)
I know I'm late but only got back yesterday. Big congratulations to you all.
