Yes, I love technology. . .

So Friday I woke up and discovered that our modem thingy had basically imploded. So no internet. No "Oh, let me just Google that" or "Let me see if I can find that cheaper on Ebay" or "Let me just check to see what 'they' suggest out there online." Nope. Nothing. Nada. Zilch. Zero.

"Zilch" is such a cool word. I need to try to work it into conversation more.

Anyway. . we had a weekend of zilch internet. There wasn't even any reason to turn on the computer. Seriously. . .Just when I thought I was catching up on what was happening with everyone I get the plug pulled.

But last night UPS delivered our new modem and it's all set up DESPITE AT&T's PATHETIC attempt at installation directions. Puh-leez, people, you could seriously work on instructions and whether or not they make ANY sense. Fortunately, I used to work for the public school system so I can punt when necessary. (It's working, right?)

So hopefully I'll get a chance to catch up. Things with the Z-Man have been "more complex". (Read: more difficult to soothe him) But I'll take it because he's getting even more fun than before. He's a happy kid, and it's so great to see him smile and coo and make all of his awesome noises.

And it's awesome that he's napping in his crib right now. Whoo-hoo.

Anyway. . .just happy to be back online and have this lifeline again. . .

PS: If you have that song at the end of Napoleon Dynamite (from the wedding, not the talent show dance) stuck in your head now from my title, I'll feel accomplished. 'Always and forever", y'all. Always and forever.

Welcome back. I know the AT&T modem instruction patheticness first hand. Down in Texas you've all got big houses on big tracts of land, so it probably wouldn't work, but if my internet goes down, I "borrow" the neighbors' (maybe next time?). Wireless internet is the bestest.

Glad to hear Z-Man is even more fun than before, even if more difficult to soothe. I'm the same way.

Getting rather creative with your excuses aren't you? Kidding!

I'm sure glad the guys are chiming in on this one. . .
Mark: I tried to "borrow" the neighbors' across the oil fields but their namby-pamby "secure network" connections foiled my evil scheme. I'm coming to grips with the fact that all men are complex, regardless of age.
WT: You betcha! Nothing compares to a "technical difficulties" excuse. Or having a baby! Excuses, excuses!
