Welcome to my shower. . .

Before we had the baby, showering was nothing more than an eco-friendly contest I played once a day. How fast could I lather up and be out of there? Hot water? Nah. . .lukewarm will do. Even cold was fine so as not to disturb the water heater from it's slumber. Could I shave off another minute to take one of those Jennifer Aniston three minute "and I brush my teeth, too" showers?

And then we had the kiddo.

And shower time became my time.

And now I love my time.

And showering is one of my favorite activities.

It's the only truly "me" time I get all day, and I am very, very serious about it.

So when the hubby mentioned getting a new shower head for the master bathroom, I totally jumped on the opportunity. Nothing at all was wrong with the old one; just the thought of a new and improved shower experience was temptation enough.

Saturday morning we found ourselves in the Home Depot picking out "The One."

Somehow the new shower head and installation of said item has something to do with my husband's birthday this week. I'm not sure what, but they are somehow related. Really.

Anyway. . . I didn't think showering could get better, but it has.

Enter the "dual shower head."

Yum. Just like butter.

One fixed head and another on a hose that you can move about freely. Enjoy the fantastic American water pressure one shower head at a time or both. Massaging jets or relaxing spray. It just doesn't get any better than this.

Yesterday I took two showers. I am purposefully getting sweaty more frequently to have an excuse to shower.

And is the new and improved shower head eco friendly? Not even remotely so.

And am I going to feel guilty about this? Not even remotely so.

So I must confess that if my posting drops off, you'll know where to find me.
