We've encountered this from time to time. Usually it indicates (A) he's teething (yeah, right, get a good laugh at that one!) (B) he's got a temperature (C) he's about to reach some milestone or do something cool soon.
Last night the culprit was clearly (C) as today was a record day for milestones. Actually, the whole weekend was. Here's the short version:
Today Z:
- took steps on his own and then stopped and balanced for a sec before sitting down
- played on his drum toy and got it (banging it on the top with his hand = sound = coolness)
- climbed into his little rocking chair (it used to be the seat on his swing and now it moonlights as a toddler rocker--yay for more than one use for a toy) and sorta sat in it for a sec before standing up and using it to reach even higher up to things he shouldn't play with in his room
- stayed and played in the nursery at church WITHOUT HAVING TAKEN A MORNING NAP for almost an hour before melting down
Yesterday he waved at a little girl who was next to him on the swings. Yeah, he waved and got it. Not that he has repeated this feat since, but it's still pretty cool. And he had a date with Grandma while the DH and I had an actual date. He did great. Yay, Mom! Yay for the local date spot, Santa Barbara Italian Cafe. Yummmmm!!!
Anyway. . .it seemed like he was doing new stuff faster than I could record it, and definitely before I could document it on film/video. So hopefully I'll capture more of his cuteness and feats of daring and bravery soon. I won't subject you all to too much of that. Promise.
PS: I have a big announcement later in the week so stay tuned.
PPS: No, I'm not pregnant. This is all about GARBAGE!!! And you know how much I like trash!!!
