While other parts of the country are still covered in snow (or just melting a little bit), this time of year is heating up down here.
And while that is really, really great when I think about most Americans freezing their fannies off through May (or June or July or whenever). . . I am NOT ready for the summer heat.
Something happened between living in Ireland and having a baby and now my normally cold-natured self has lit an internal furnace that cannot be cooled. I used to be fine with the heat. Really. For the most part, at least.
But now, I'm just sweaty.
Anyway. . .on the bright side. . .it's time for the kiddie pool. . .and sunscreen. . .and fortunately I love the smell of Z's baby sunscreen so that's a good thing.
Here we are in the back yard in a new chair with a flower. (It was the only way I could get him to stop launching his body off the chair into the grass)
PS: I SO am a cheapskate and have to tell you that I got his swim trunks (and they are Gymboree) for ONE BUCK at the resale shop. Yippee for bargains!!!
PPS: I don't even need to fill the baby pool with water. Z just likes to be outside and to crawl around in it. Actually, I think he prefers it that way--water from the hose is still pretty durn cold!!!
