Well, I've got good news. . .
it appears that Zane does not have an allergy to strawberries.
Why such good news?
Because we went to the local berry patch to take pictures and Z ended up picking a few berries of his own. After a dirt-and-leaf appetizer, of course.
And I was woefully unprepared. . .again.
It got messy, to say the least! Next time, bring the stain stick and pre-treat in the car!!!
"Yummy, yummy! Dip it in dirt for extra flavor!"

Naturally, he likes strawberries because:
(A) they are finger foods
(B) they were not washed and I'm sure were covered in. . .eww. . .something
(C) no spoons involved
(D) messy, messy, messy
(E) he is NOT supposed to eat them yet and it just about gave me a heart attack and this, apparently, is very funny for Z
We met up with Bailey and Madison, some of Z's b-day buddies. My how they've all grown since we last met up at six months!
Here Z is terrorizing the girls.
"Here, let me help you with your sunglasses. Madame M"
I've already had to explain to him that girls won't like him if he rough-houses with them too much.
I think the next one might be my favorite picture of the day. All of these are SOOC (straight outta the camera (I like to think of them as "nekked" pictures)) because I'm too chicken to try any post-production fanciness. I'm hoping to start gussying them up soon. With a little help from Aimee and some Scott Kelby!!
"Exhibit A: The strawberry. Marvel at my fantastic pincer grasp"
It was a whole lot of fun albeit dusty and quite dirty. But all wash is in the laundry and my sticky, sleepy boy is finally napping so I'll call it a victory.
Oh, and we managed to actually pick a whopping 26 cents worth of strawberries. Too few hands, too much squirming!! Better luck next time, but at least I am not scrambling to bake all kinds of strawberry goodness!

YEA!!! Z is too cute! We had such a great time. You are amazing to get pictures up already. I am still staring at them trying to figure out if any are good or not. Oh well.
They're not supposed to eat strawberries at that age?? Man, that must be a new one since my son was born. What age is okay?
And seriously, that little boy is too cute :)
