Loosely tying together some random tidbits of updating into one nice, neat, coherent post. . .yeah, right:
Blue is the color of this flower in my neighbor's yard that I snapped in pretty nice light Thursday evening. The kid went to sleep easily enough after a great day, and I let out one of those self-satisfied sighs signifying: "Wow! It's that easy?! I must be getting the hang of this parenting thing."
Blue is the color of the running group I'm now a part of for training for a half marathon. My group is one of the USA FIT franchise programs that at least one of my good friends who is a certified running coach feels is just not a good enough program to see improvement. Hey, I'm just looking for accountability. If I know someone other than me and the DH will know I missed a run. ..I'll make sure not to miss the run. Which half am I going to do? Not sure yet, but I've got plenty of time.
(PS: I ran a killer 5K today and took a minute off my time from last month's 5K. WHOOP!)
Blue is the color of two new kinds of cloth diapers I am trying out. This makes 6 different brands/types I'm working with, and I still sort of don't have a favorite. The monkey is slimming down like crazy (every time I put a diaper on the kid I'm cinching it tighter, I swear!) and that is really making a difference with the fit. The only current problem other than the occasional leak: Z can take them off quite easily if he's wearing a romper (my favorite one-piece clothing item) or no pants (and it's SUMMER in TEXAS, helllllooooooo). So I'm trying one with snaps instead of the velcro (yeah, wish me luck on that one with my squirmin' mermin.).
Blue is going to be the dominant color in the bags under my eyes if I don't take advantage of the kiddo sleeping and get some shut-eye myself.
Adios, y'all.

Dear sabrina. Beautiful photograph of the blue flower! I love my flower photos (not sure if you've visited my Flickr but I have a zillion of flower close ups). Good luck with the running - do you have a particular half marathon event that you're aiming for?
Great pic! Hope you have fun training. Tell me when you do the half and I'll come and cheer you on!
