But I guess we couldn't leave the country without another late-night serenade from our rockin' bachelor neighbors.
Now that we have the dogs, we can't miss when they come home from partying. Blanco loudly announces their arrival. That, in itself, is fine.
Last night--or should I say this morning--we successfully ignored Blanco's call of the wild when the fellas and their chicas got home, but the crazy flashing ambulance-like lights outside the window really woke us both up. Neighborino #1 is a paramedic, so anything is possible.
The last couple of weeks they have been getting home late a lot, sure, but this morning we got the full treatment: singing and stomping and strummin' on the guitar. Yippee.

This lasted for about an hour until both households feel into a deep slumber after a rousing rendition of "Redemption Song" by Bob Marley. At least the only song I remember was one I liked. It's much easier to be awakened by your neighbors at 4AM or so when they are jammin' to something good.
But, like, I said, we couldn't leave without one last performance.
Now our adventures in Cork have come round to a complete circle. See here. And here.
Oh, and the picture here? This is just my gratuitous "cute dog" shot of the day. Tex took a stealth nap on our bed (big no-no) while my DH was in the shower the other night. He was just so cute and guilty-looking that both of us couldn't resist letting him stay.
So now my brain is just barely functioning. I am tired. Oh well. Looking forward to Fun Monday tomorrow! See you then!

Tex is too cute. And I am glad the neighbors have a decent sense of music! I am not envious at all at being woken up in the middle of the night/morning. I have a hard enough time sleeping that anything that disturbs my rest is enemy #1.
Can't wait to see you!
You should sleep well tonight then.
I guess you won't miss your neighbours when you move?
Stiggs: since I've been so lazy lately, losing some sleep isn't all that bad. . .see you SOON!
Beccy: Actually, they are great, helpful, generous guys and we will miss them. Just not the late nighte/early morning stuff. Back home we have a dog behind us that barks uncontrollably all.the.time. I'll take the guys over that!
Very cute picture. I don't need noisy neighbours to wake me at 4am it's a regualar routine unfortunately!!
I'm starting to be a bit concerned about you. Either you are taking things very well, or you are unaware of American quarantine laws.
No dogs can go directly from Ireland to America, they must first complete 5 years quarantine in Australia. I'll send you a copy of the laws if you don't have one. I can also suggest a good quarantine facility.
You should play a nice loud country song about 6 a.m. the morning b4 you leave... just to make all things even.
ChrisB: You, too? That's crazy!
WT: Okay, you had me panicked for about a millisecond this morning! No fair! After all the dog travel I've arranged lately, I couldn't imagine trying to get the pups into Oz!
Pamela: two very loud dogs is all the retribution that's necessary. And the crazy thing is, the fellas are usually out the door by 8AM the next morning. Crazy!
