Big ol' belly pics

So Tuesday is always a difficult day to post because Fun Monday both takes and creates so much energy and commotion. I always feel like Tuesday's post is a let-down. Even on days when I don't participate in Fun Monday. Like yesterday.
Anyway. . .
Here is the most recent belly pic: This was taken last Wednesday at 33 1/2 weeks or so after we went for a long walk in the neighborhood with the dogs. I seriously need to consider taking at least one of these belly pics where I have done my hair and am not wearing a funky tank top. Maybe next week.

Anyway. . .I am already bigger than this picture. Much bigger. I swear that I wake up and feel significantly bigger every day. Not complaining, just stating the facts, ma'am. But, seriously, I am approaching beached-whaledom.

So I'm sort of stealth blogging while my DH is at the gym (new 24Hour Fitness open here in PLand). This will have to stay pretty short. ..

I had my first appointment with my midwife today. Yes, we finally have a place to have the baby--score!--and all the insurance twists and turns have been worked out so I finally had my first appointment at the birthing center. It's awesome. I love love love the midwife care. I get so excited about my appointments because (a) I don't feel like cattle being shoved through the chute as quickly as possible and (b) it's always a special visit and I get plenty of attention.

Because that's what it's all about: ME.

So part of my "homework" for my next visit includes drawing a detailed map for her to get to my house (she comes out for a home visit after you have babs); completing paperwork for the birth certificate (yippee, we're official); and keeping a detailed log of my eating for the next 5 or so days.

And even though I do eat pretty well, I'm getting all the bad eating out of my system tonight before I start logging my eating tomorrow.

So long, last sleeve of Girl Scout cookies. Those poor Thin Mints never knew what hit 'em. And I'm not talking about the healthy ones GcC had the recipe for on her blog. I mean the full on, trans fat beasties. Yeah. They're toast.

That's all for today, folks. I have a nice epsom salt soak awaiting to help with the swelling that this lovely Texas heat and humidity has brought on. Not complaining--Texas is THE best place to be. It just happens to make me resemble the Michelin man. And not in a good way!

Dear sabrina. Heheh lovely photo. You can't tell non mothers stories like this, the more I hear, the more scared I am of having a baby. Mind you, you like like a totally hot mama-to-be - fit, healthy and very happy!

It can't be pleasant to be pregnant in that heat. Hey maybe you could send the heat over to me!

LMM: I promise pregnancy is GREAT and I am trying not to scare anyone. It is really not bad at all. I promise!
Beccy: I'd send it all if I could, trust me!! I miss the Irish cool!!! I'll even take the rain!

I feel for you in the heat....I've never had a midwife but have heard nothing but good about them!

I had a spring baby and I had an October baby - believe me, being pregnant in the winter is a LOT easier....the cold doesn't seem to bother you in the slightest. (I wore t-shirts the entire winter and complained when the heat came on!)

Yea for big bellies! I feel huge as well. I come home from work and all I want to do is sit on the couch with my feey up. Poor Greg is having to do all the work.

Here comes summer!!!
