Upcoming Bloggiversary, Random, and the Demon Intestine

So I realized that I am quickly approaching my one year blogging anniversary. June 4 will be the big day I started the blog. Funny that my blog was created to try to keep up with my DH's blog he kept while in Shanghai. (His blog is now defunct, but he's considering starting a new Jeep blog.) I have no plans for celebrating the bloggiversary. Lots of other people are giving their blogs a facelift or moving to a different provider, etc. I'm just basically too lazy for that.

Here's a pic of my boy Tex after we wore him out running in the park. See how nice he looks on the new flooring? This is our new entryway. Verry nice! Notice he is less fluffy? That's because all of his hair is on the floor instead of his body. Oh well! Today Tex is suffering from what I have dubbed the "Demon Intestine." This started sometime while my DH was in Shanghai and I was ruling the roost solo with the pups. Basically, Tex's insides get all squirmy and squishy and make the most God-awful noises you could ever imagine.
This morning I've head things coming from his tummy that sound like:
* another dog barking
* a creepy Poe-ish raven cawing
* something from the Exorcist

This is probably the fourth or fifth time he has had The Demon Intestine in a year. Nothing gross happens, although it sounds like his insides are about to explode. He is completely unaffected and completely ignores the sounds. But it still freaks me out, nonetheless.

The first time it happened (at, like, 4AM last summer sometime) I kept dragging him outside to take care of whatever horrible thing was going to happen. Tex, being the pleaser he is, made his appeasing "potty" for me and would give me this look like "come on, crazy lady, just let me get some sleep." I was afraid his head might start spinning. It never did.

Random comment from the husband about driving a Jeep:
"Driving a Jeep into work is nice because you don't feel like you're driving into the office, more like driving off to the mountains. Of course then you're just depressed when you pull into the office instead of the trail-head, but at least it was a great drive in."

Deep thoughts.

Dear sabrina. Deep thoughts indeed! Happy bloggiversary. You'll have a brand new birthday to celebrate in seven weeks time, not blogging birthdays!

I can't believe it's been a year! I remember when you first started. I even remember your phantom posting on John's blog.

Can't wait to see you next week!

several weeks ago I was at Karmyn's house... and her ZOE had the demon intestine. The hubby and I were sitting in opposite chairs and Zoe sat down between us.

her gut started this business that had us worried about what was going to come flying out (like an alien)

but nothing happened. Then Karmyn came out and gave her a dog biscuit and it stopoped.

ChrisB: Glad to hear it! It is rather unusual!
Pamela: Whoah! I am glad to know Tex is not the only one!
