So when Z was born, I set a goal for myself to blog at least twice a week. Since the months prior to his birth produced almost a post a day I thought surely this would be an easy goal to make. . .and then I had a baby. . .
Amazing that he has an opinion about the computer and my blogging already at three months. That's right, folks. He's already three months old! And he HATES the computer. He absolutely will not stand to sit contently as I blog and blog hop. He even resisted being in front of the computer screen at the local Penney's yesterday as I chose the pose for his 3-mo portrait (an excruciating decision--damn, this kid is cute!!!).
So when my friend Stiggs e-mailed the little Mommy group I'm a part of to say she'd been blog-hopping I saw green with envy. . .So this morning I just sucked it up and am letting the kid sleep in his sling while I try to sling out a post.
Only, I don't have a lot to write about.
Or maybe there's too much.
There are all of the items I have come to love and want to recommend. (Burt's Bees Baby line, our baby swing, the nursing camis from Target, the new Weight Watcher's Progresso Soups)
Then there's the warning for the Bumbo sitter being dangerous. (like that surprised anyone who's actually seen a kid sit in it. DUH!)
And of course my weight-loss saga. (my 3-months with Weight Watchers ends Friday; I'm still 3 pounds from my nursing goal weight and still dreaming of Mexican food. Oh well. . .)
A post wouldn't be complete without an open letter to our local Kroger about using my cloth bags/their remodeling to make it fancier and more expensive/my love and loathing for certain sackers
I could bore you with baby milestones. . .
Or I could post that retraction for the "slanderous" comments I made about my husband "crying" during the season opener of HEROES. He didn't cry. He didn't even cry when Z was born or at our wedding. He almost cried during Saving Private Ryan. But he did not cry at the mention of Cork, Ireland on national television.
Did I mention that my friend Valerie is opening another yoga studio on our side of town and I will be teaching a Mommy and Me class on Tuesday nights? Lots of energy and emotions wrapped up with that.
And finally there's Zane's poop saga. Which, of course, I'll save for the other new mamas who I talk with about poop on a regular basis. I'll spare you all the details.
Or I could sneak one more in. . .complaining about not being in the blogosphere loop. . .
Jeez. . .so much happening out there and I am not part of anything. Oh well. . . I'll just throw up any number of excuses. . .But I'll be back eventually. . .
But how can I complain about not having time to blog when I get to spend the day with this cutie?

I'm so lucky to have been there for all of his "firsts" so far. He's now grabbing toys and putting them in his mouth. He laughs. He blew spit bubbles yesterday. What a doll.

Hey, don't worry about not blogging - you've got the best excuse there is. Balancing everything is the hardest part, and when the scale tips back to allowing more time to blog, it will all still be here waiting for you.
oh, and yes, Zane is adorable
Mark, I heart you. You are so sweet and forgiving. ..and flattery goes a long way, too!
that is one of the best pictures I have ever seen of the little man. What a cutie!
Just look at those beautiful eyes, he is just so cute. As for blogging I think we got a lot of news from this post. Just photos of Zane will keep us hooked!
The Z-man is adorable. I still check your site all the time and am so glad when you post. I only manage to write in those moments when Bay is in her bouncer or sleeping. But I do so love to blog hop. I should spend less time on the computer and more time cleaning the house. Yuck!
Oh and the pics on your ShutterFly are the cutest! I love them!!!
(is that enough flattery to get me a copy of one of Zane's pictures?!?!?!)
Geez - Zane is getting so big already! He is adorable, (but you already knew that!)
Okay - I've been consistently taking my cloth bags to the grocery store. Some are annoyed, others don't care. But, I feel good doing it - no matter what.
I don't think I would have been able to blog when my children were younger, I find it hard enough now and they're at school all morning.
Dear sabrina. Hey, I didn't blog all summer. And I have no excuse bar apathy. Zane looks so cute in that photo, such big dark eyes. Not smiling because he knew you were going to post the photo on your blog?!
